Only faculty and staff theme pictures are currently being accepted.  Student theme pictures have already been submitted to our publisher.  Thank you for sending in your picture!

Yearbook Orders

Yearbooks are scheduled to arrive on the week of May 3, 2009

• Pre-sale with PTA membership during Sneak Preview only. $21/book.
• Regular pre-sale: October 16, 2009 thru December 11, 2009.  $26/book. 
• Sale: starts when yearbooks arrive in May.  $30/book.  Sale is on a first-come-first-served basis.  No reservations accepted.  Once they're gone, they're gone!

For privacy and security, the student's names have been coded to a key. 

Key: <Grade><First 3 chars of Teacher's Name>-<First 3 chars of studen'ts last name><First 4 chars of student's first name>

Example: Susan Miller is in Ms Wilfong's Kindergarten class.  Her key is "KKWil-MilSusa"

Please make sure that the teacher and grade level are correct for your student as this is where we will be delivering the yearbooks when they arrive.  Notify a yearbook adviser of any discrepancies ASAP!

 

5th Grade Dedications

5th Grade Dedications orders can be submitted now thru Nov 27.  Dedications are purchased on a first-come-first-served basis.  Stye A ($15) allows text and two pictures.  Style B ($10) allows text and one picture.  Only 35 of each style is available.  Once they're sold, no more will be added.  All proceeds from sales of dedications are returned to the 5th grade activities.  Note copyright restrictions apply to images included in the 5th grade dedications.

2008-2009 20th Anniversary Yearbook is still available!

A limited number of the 20th anniversary yearbooks is still available.  Cost is $30/book.  Contact Eden if you would like to purchase one.

 

Yearbook Photography Club

Yearbook Committee

Sorry, we are not forming a 5th Grade Yearbook Staff this year.  5th graders can take part in the yearbook by joining the Yearbook Photography Club.  Or, if (s)he is interested in helping to create the yearbook, (s)he must first have a parent volunteer with the yearbook.  We will teach the parent how to work on a page and assign the parent a page.  Parents can then work with their 5th  Grade student on that page (i.e., grade collages, WRAD, Field Day, etc.).  Your student will be part of the Yearbook Committee group picture and be included in the yearbook that way.  Sorry, we will no longer be giving free yearbooks to the Committee.

 

If you would like to be a yearbook parent volunteer, please contact a yearbook adviser.  We need volunteers for:

• Photographers
• Sales and Marketing
• Typists
• Page creators

 

Share your candid pictures with the yearbook!  

 Here's our rule on how we decide to use pictures:

1. Images must be high quality digital.
2. A student should appear only once per collage
3. Because of space limitations, we try to use pictures with more than one child on it.  We do use solo pictures but in a limited capacity.
4. Candid pictures must represent some sort of school activity.  That is, we won't use pictures taken at the neighborhood swimming pool, birthday parties, or at some non-LWE sports activity.
5. Don't send pictures we won't be able to use.  Please "weed" through your many pictures and only upload a few very special pictures!
6. Try to include lots of different faces in the yearbook.  We don't want only a few students to appear in many places in the yearbook.
7. We will be accepting "candid" photo contributions for this yearbook until February 15.

Thank you for sharing your school pictures with us!  We will try to use your pictures. But PLEASE don't get offended if we can't.

When uploading your candids make sure you enter a caption for your picture so we can place it correctly in the yearbook.

   Example: "5-Lorey's Holiday Party"

 

Remember that copyright restrictions apply to all images forwarded to the yearbook! Click here to upload your images into the Yearbook's community forlder: http://www.myyear.com/

 

   At the My Year.com page, 

           1) Select the following from their drop down boxes:

                  State   = "GA" 

                  City     = "Alpharetta"

                  School = "Lake Windward Elementary School"

           2) Select the "Photo Upload" option at the very bottom right corner of your screen 

 

   At the "Welcome to The Studioworks Public Photo Upload" screen,

           1) Click on the "I have read and accept...." box

           2) Click on the "Next >>" button

 

  On the next screen:

           1) Enter our LWE project number "023853" 

           2) Click on the "Next>>" button

 

   On the next screen:

           1) You may upload up to five images at a time

           2) Make sure to enter an informative caption (see above example)

           3) Click on the "Begin Upload" button to start your upload

           4) Repeat steps 1-3 as many times as you need to

 

   Click on "Exit Upload Wizard" when you have completed your uploads.
